1. After days of waiting, Marcus of Hochstadt.com finally announced the winners for the Hochstadt Party Contest. Bloggerfocus Traffic Update
Two weeks ago, I specifically mentioned that my next goal for Bloggerfocus Dot Com is to achieve 100 Unique visitors daily by mid May. Have I reached my goal or have I not? Well this how the traffic stats for Bloggerfocus Dot Com between 1st of May 2008 - 11th of May 2008 look like:
Should I leap up in joy now and celebrate like there's no tomorrow? Nah, there's nothing to boast about considering the fact that 100-150 uniques per day is miniscule compared to other well known blogs. As of writing this post I've already set my next goal, to hit 200 uniques by end of this month (May 08). I'm just hoping that the outcome is not the opposite. Please don't let my traffic drop below 100 uniques instead.

All this talk about blog traffic and I've yet to mention where all the traffic is coming from! Without further a due, listed right below are the top traffic bringers for Bloggerfocus Dot Com:

1. SiteHoppin.com (Without a doubt, the top traffic bringer for Bloggerfocus Dot Com. Utilizing the BeerStocks I've obtained, I'm currently enjoying a share of the total traffic from SiteHoppin.com. (You might want to read more about how Beer Stocks work HERE) Coupled with the launch of the SiteHoppin Firefox toolbar 10 days ago, I've been receiving consistent daily traffic from SiteHoppin.com)

2. PowerDropping.com (Thanks Walt for including Bloggerfocus Dot Com into the list for power droppers. Apart from the reliable traffic coming from Entrecard users performing their daily drops, I'm also earning a fairly good amount of Entrecards!)

3. Google Searches (A couple of my articles are appearing on the first page of certain search terms. As we all know, higher search ranking equals to more traffic for your blog)

4. PetalingStreet.org (A Malaysian blog-tal that allows you to submit newly written articles)

Bloggerfocus Traffic Update

Traffic to Bloggerfocus Dot Com has surpassed the 100 Unique Visitors mark for the past one week except on Wednesday.

The significant rise in traffic this week is due to the following reasons:

1. The release of the SiteHoppin Firefox Toolbar

2. This blog is now listed in PowerDropping.com

3. Better contents this week as compared to last week. (Assumption is made based on the higher number of comments this week as compared to last week)

Bloggerfocus Traffic Update
A slight improvement on my blog's traffic as compared to the previous week. Never the less, I've yet to break the 100 Unique visitors barrier consistently as shown in the screen shot below:
There's much to do in order to bring Bloggerfocus Dot Com to the next level. My short term goal for Bloggerfocus Dot Com would be to achieve 100 Unique visitors daily by mid May. Before I begin, I would like to apologize to all readers for serving rather disapointing articles for the past one week. (Bloggerfocus traffic took a bad hit because of that) I apologize for the lack of time spent on updating Bloggerfocus last week due to my work commitments. Times like this, I wish I was John Chow, working as full time blogger and spitting out 2-3 articles a day. Ok, dreams and wishes aside, I hope I'll be make it up to my readers by producing better articles next week. 1. Found out that JohnChow, self proclaimed Dot Com Mogul has reviewed SiteHoppin.com. Being a Beer Stock holder at SiteHoppin, my excitement boiled over to the point that I had to write a short article about it.

1. The internet connection at the place where I'm staying bailed on me. I had no other option except to blog via my own mobile and guess what article I managed to put together using my mobile? No prizes if you get it right but you can read the article HERE.
2. Lesson learnt, never blog via mobile if you have thick fingers!

1. The internet connection is down again. I had two options, blog via mobile again or just go to sleep and leave my readers dissapointed. I chose the latter.

19 April 2008 (Saturday)
1. I came across Hochstadt.com while reciprocating Entrecard drops and guess what? Another large scale blog contest is being held there. Instead of calling it a blog contest, Marcus of Hochstadt.com calls it the Hochstadt.com Party Contest. Bloggerfocus Traffic Report
Like what I've mentioned earlier, producing article via mobile and talking about Blog contests for the past one week has effected my traffic rather harshly. Here's a screenshot of Bloggerfocus unique visitors for the past one week.

Hitting a high of 108 unique visitors on the 13 April 2008 (Sunday), Bloggerfocus saw a massive decline in traffic the very next day. This is what I call an anti-climax week and I can only blame myself for the hideous looking stats you've just seen. Let's hope that the upcomming week would be a better one for Bloggerfocus.com.

Bloggerfocus Achievement of the Week
1. All is not lost for Bloggerfocus this week. An article I wrote on Entrecard managed to win the 4000 Entrecard credits offered by EntreCard EntreWidgetsurf. Here's a screenshot of the 4000 EC credited to my account. (Muahahaha... I'm rich with EC now!)

2. Added another refferal to my AdTol.com campaign. Never heard of AdToll.com? Read about AdToll HERE.

3. AdBrite.com contributed a meagre 8 cents to my earnings. Well I've no intentions about making any money from blogging and earning even 8 cents is an added bonus for me. The reason why I am using AdBrite is because of the inline ads function they offer to publishers. You earn money every time someone clicks on the inline ads embedded in your post. This is somewhat similiar to Kontera.com except that you don't need to have 500,000 daily unique visitors to be a member. Take a look at this screenshot from one of my post, you can see the inline ads appearing everytime you scroll over related text.

7 April 2008 (Monday)
1. Max wrote an email to me saying that he would top up an extra 1800 Beer Credits for the "mini" contest. A total of 2000 Beer Credits given to you just to post a comment, I'm pretty sure you can't find this anywhere except at Bloggerfocus.com. 1. Wrote the 2nd part of the "How To Remove Blogger Classic Navigation Bar". The first part of this guide managed to hide the Navigation Bar yet it leaves a white space at the top. 1. Produced a simple article entitled "Are Adult Contents Allowed On Blogspot?". That generated instant traffic when I posted the article at Petalingstreet.org. I've come to one conclusion, topic related to sex or adult contents tend to attract attention of readers in that community. (Special note to myself, produce more "hot and spicy" articles in the near future!)

1. Produced a "How To Add Pages To Your Blogspot" guide. I personally recommend that you read this guide if you intend to get your own blogspot pages. It took me some time to produced thet guide yet I believe it was well worth it.

Traffic Summary Beer Stocks Traffic Update
In my last weekly update, I mentioned that I've bought Beer Stocks to test its reliability to bring unique visitors to my blog. Well in some ways it worked! My traffic has double the amount as compared to last week before the Beer Stocks were put to test. Here's a screen shot of unique visitors to Bloggerfocus for the past 2 weeks.

I would like to add that the traffic stats for my blog for the past one week were not driven by Entrecard dropping. In fact for the last one week, I've only dropped a couple of cards in order to reciprocate those who drop cards on Bloggerfocus. I wanted to see how effective the Beer Stocks were in terms of bringing unique visitors without Entrecard's involvement. Although the stocks did not bring in thousands of unique visitors per day like I imagined, it did quite well to double the number of unique visitors to Bloggerfocus. There is more to expect from Max and SiteHoppin's Beer Stocks after he announced that the SiteHoppin Firefox toolbar is set to be released soon.

Overall summary
Another exciting week for myself to see Bloggerfocus.com growing steadily in terms of traffic and readership. Being a month old blog, I'm proud at least by my own standards that this blog have been doing well so far. I'm not expecting any miracles to happen for this blog, preffering to put more effort towards providing better contents. I certainly hope that Bloggerfocus.com has not disappointed any reader whom have come in search for more knowledge and advise. Last but not least, do leave me your comments, suggestions and even criticism about Bloggerfocus.com. Your feedback is what drives me to continuously improve and make this blog a better one.

1. Wrote an article on Entrecard entitled "Entrecard Again? Ramblings of a Tired Blogger". I had a couple of things in mind about Entrecard and decided to ramble about it in this article. I took it upon myself to submit the article for a competition as well. What competition??? Oh, that's right, Entrecard Widgetsurf Most Effective Solution Dot Com is having a competition that requires bloggers to submit an article about their personal experience using Entrecard. By the way, for bloggers who are interested to participate, the competition is still open until the 15th of April 2008.

2 April 2008 (Wednesday)
1. Wrote a review about SiteHoppin.com that generated quite some buzz. If you've missed the review, you can read it HERE. I doubt it was my incredible "vocabulary", ahem.... that made the review interesting but the way it was written. Let me know your comments once you've read it.
2. The review on SiteHoppin.com was also posted at SiteHoppin's group at BlogCatalog. I guess that the sceptical review caught the attention of Max, owner of SiteHoppin.com. I was rather surprised to receive a thank you e-mail from him hours after I posted the review at BlogCatalog. I guess Max is the type of person that prefers to read a positive criticism rather then a straighforward "Great Site" review eh? Either that or Max is drunk while reading my review.

3 April 2008 (Thursday)
1. Carried out some testing on SiteHoppin's claim of sending 1 unique visitor to your site in exchange for 10 Beer Credits. I remain sceptical at that time.

4 April 2008 (Friday)
1. With the data gathered from the testing, I've come up with a full report and summary in my post entitled SiteHoppin.com - Beer Traffic Revealed. To bring it a step further, the report was also sent to Max and received a positive response from him. I am satisfied as well with the outcome of the testing.
2. I decided to get some Beer Stocks from SiteHoppin.com in order to test out claims by Beer Stock owners such as Josh whom after buying Beer Stocks, has received about 4,000 unique visitors to his site in 2 weeks. That I've got to see for myself! If you are unfamiliar with what Beer Stock is, you can read about it HERE.

5 April 2008 (Saturday)
1. Got myself Beer Stocks! That's right, 6 Beer Stocks for Bloggerfocus.com. Here's the link to the Beer Stocks from SiteHoppin that I currently own.
2. Changed Bloggerfocus.com template. I felt that the old template was a total dissaster due to my tweaking and deletion of certain codes in it. Thanks jayaprakashkv for providing Bloggerfocus with the new template. For the first time, I felt that Bloggerfocus is using a template worthy of its contents.
3. I've added the 125 x 125 Beer Stock Affiliate banner to my site. If you purchase Beer Stocks using the link from that banner, you are entitled to a 25% discount from the amount purchased.

Overall summary
This has certainly been an exciting week for me. Not only have I established a good working relationship with SiteHoppin.com, I've also invested in some Beer Stocks in order to test out its effectiveness. Don't get me wrong and think I've lost my principal of blogging by talking about traffic and SiteHoppin in the last few posts. The past one week, I've expressed my scepticism in my article about SiteHoppin, tested SiteHoppin claims and contacted its owner for further verification. I wanted to be sure that SiteHoppin is not some some scam or bogus site that was reaping off its members. Although I've not verified the Beer Stocks effectiveness (in progress), I am convinced that it is safe to recommend SiteHoppin to all bloggers.

For the next few weeks to come, there will be much excitement as I anticipate the Beer Stock's traffic bringing capability. I'm sure many of you out there have excellent blogs or sites, yet still finding it hard to get to a wider audience. I face the same problem too and that has led me to try out Beer Stocks. If the Beer Stocks lives up to the expectation of driving traffic, then there would one less problem for me to worry about. A small investment considering the fact that I'm allowed to concentrate on other aspects of Bloggerfocus such providing better quality contents, doing more reviews and writing more How To guides.
